The 2023 AEMA Conference dinner will be held at Wayward Brewing, at 1 Gehrig Lane, Camperdown. This award-winning, independent craft brewery brews a wide range of beers, including ales, IPAs, porters, seltzers, sours and stouts, all of which are available at the bar (as well as wine, cider, and non-alcoholic options). The menu is a tasty local take on Americana, and the conference dinner will be catered from a separate menu featuring sliders and bar snacks. Attendees are welcome to purchase their own additional meal items.
Special Guest Talk on Ancient and Medieval Brewing
Shortly after arrival, the AEMA conference committee is excited to announce that Wayward Brewing founder Peter Philip will provide us with a short talk on the subject of ancient and medieval brewing. He and the Wayward team have previously conducted experimental research into ancient brewing techniques and ingredients. Following his talk, attendees will also be provided with a complimentary glass of a special batch of ‘medieval’ beer brewed specially for our conference.
